Film Screening today

You can watch the documentary ‘The End of an Era? A Story of Oil Workers’ until 14 May at #Distribute2020, a biennial conference and online film festival presented by the Society for Cultural Anthropology (SCA) and the Society for Visual Anthropology (SVA). https://distribute.utoronto.ca/grou…/film-the-end-of-an-era/

There are going to be several film discussions at the Distribute 2020 Berlin Node and the node members voted for “The End of an Era?” among others! We are looking forward to talking about the surprising insights into the oil industry and we want to discuss questions like: How can we imagine and create energy futures? What’s the role of large fossil fuel companies in it? And how does the film itself evoke imaginations of the future? https://www.euroethno.hu-berlin.de/de/veranstaltungen/2020/distribute-2020-berlin-node/distribute-2020-berlin-digital-node

If you are interested, please join us to share your views and questions for the Movie-Discussion Saturday 9th May, 17:00 – 18:15 (UCT+2) HU-Zoom-link: https://hu-berlin.zoom.us/j/99610080223
